Thank you so much for sharing my excitement this week ! It really means a lot to me and I am still floating on air. So much so that I would like to celebrate with my first giveaway .

As you know I had to send 5 dolls to be evaluated by IGMA . One of those dolls is a beautiful little ghost girl and she will be needing a good home when she returns to me from the USA.
All you have to do to enter the giveaway is reply to this post with three reasons to be cheerful !
When my dolls arrive back I will draw the names out of a hat and my little ghost girl will have a new home .
Good luck !

Hello Julie,
Congratulations on the Artisan status! Here are my three reasons to be cheerful..
1) We're coming to the end of 2009 which means Christmas, parties and most importantly, new beginnings.
2) Currently, from where I'm sitting, the sky is blue without a single cloud but still cold enough I need to wrap up.
3) The X Factor is on TWICE a week :-D
Hello Julie
Congratulations from me too on your Artisan status. Actually my three reasons to be cheerful could be 1. You got your IGMA status, 2. You got your IGMA status and 3. I bought a snail from Katie.
My real three reasons would be:
1. We are now closed for the rest of the year and probably for the first two months of next year so I have time to play with miniatures (after we get the bedrooms renovated).
2. We managed to get officially downgraded from a Guest House to a Bed and Breakfast and we are making some other changes to the way we run this place so I think there will be less stress and problems next year.
3. I love where we live - the place and the house and for the first time in years I have no pressures or worries and I think for the first time in my life (maybe a bit of an exaggeration) I am completely happy and satisfied with my lot.
Oh - doesn't that sound like I am getting really old and decrepit?
Joyce
Congratulations Julie!
My three reasons to be cheerful are:
1. My nine year old son has been on his first trip away for the week and comes back tomorrow - and I can't wait!
2. Christmas is around the corner
3. I'm looking out at the beautiful Ribble Valley and the sky is blue, the leaves are a beautiful russet colour and the season is Autumn, the best season of the year :0)

Dear Julie,

Have a good day, Julie and to all who's replying to this post, Good Luck!
HI Julie
Congratulations! My 3 reasons to be cheerful are:
1) Having a lovely day out at Pudsey Fair and meeting all my old friends and buying lots of gorgeous miniatures.
2) The Christmas markets will be in Manchester soon with lots of lovely stalls selling great items and food. The best place for a real
Christmassy atmosphere.
3) Today the sun is shining after all that horrible rain.

There are many things that make me be happy, especially that all my dearest are healthy and life treats them well but there are small things that feed the soul.
Since light passing through the green leaves in the heat of the sun, the smell of wet earth ...
But I have to choose ...so my three reasons to be cheerful are:
-the laughter of my 6 years old son of and its games. All day playing :)
-The sunny Sundays I spend with my family and friends.
-The good conversations with my husband at night, when my son sleeps and we are relaxed.
Congratulations again for the artisan status!!! And thanks for sharing your joy with us with such a great and wonderful giveaway.
Good luck everyone
Big hug from Spain
Hi Julie,
Many congrats on the Artisan status! As the proud owner of one of your dolls, I can absolutely testify to the fact that you deserve it.
Reasons to be cheerful?: well, after a horrible year with serious illness - I'm still here!
Which brings me to number 2, my friends. When the going is tough, it is then you realise how lucky you are and what really matters in life.
and 3, well, my wonderful husband. Probably like most women, I moan about him on occasion and nag a bit too. Now I have a new appreciation for the life we have shared for the last eleven years and, of course, what has still to come.
I am both grateful and cheerful.
Gill

My three reasons to be cheerful are:
1) There is magic and wonder in the world because of the miniature dolls that you make and that we all love to play with.
2) There is always something amazing to discover in the natural world--a chickadee at the feeder, gold leaves on the birch tree, a bear raiding the birdfeeder (at least at my house) as long as we take the time to do so.

Your work is amazing!!! My mother collects dolls--odd dolls last Christmas I gave a devil doll--and my siblings asked why I gave her a skinny Santa doll (my Mom and I laughed--they don't get her odd doll preference) I've been looking for a doll for this years Christmas--your ghost girl sounds perfect!!!
3 reasons to be cheerful
1) sometimes my kitty wakes me by licking my toes---it's silly but it makes me laugh
2) chocolate--and even when you eat it all---they make more
3) snow flakes---nothing better than sitting by the fire drinking hot chocolate watching the snow flakes fall
22 years ago I had a kitty named "Bella" at the time I had never heard the name Bella other than Bella Lugosi --I named her Bella because Isabella Rossellini was on Late Night with David Letterman and he kept saying "Isa--Bella"-----anyways I used to call her "Bellabelle"
Sorry for the ramble --thanks for the chance to win something magical!!

One of the delightful happenings in this troubled year, was opening my first OOAK doll's house doll, which I bought from you Julie. She is so unbelievably delightful I can't think of any more words to describe her. All I can advise, is for anyone with a 1/12 scale house to also buy one.
Thank you Julie,
June
